** Region I:
Primary to St Francis Hospital, but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region One:
St. Anne Hospital – Burien, WA;
Virginia Mason Medical Center – Seattle, WA;
St. Francis Hospital – Federal Way, WA. Additional $20 hours when floated within Region I that's not the primary facility. ER/Trauma Center St. Francis # beds/trauma bays 25 plus hallway spaces and surge beds Do you have a Fast track No Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? We do have a separate triage area and if the traveler is ambitious and qualified we would certainly have them work in triage.

Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds? They are intermixed in the ED. We have a dedicated transition staff most of the time. ED RNs do occasionally care for boarded patients. We try to cohort them together so you would have 4 transition instead of 2 ED and 2 transition.

Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? We have 2 dedicated rooms for mental health and several hallway spaces. In-house Security yes # patients per day Ratios 4:1 Required Certifications ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Sepsis, chest pain, abd pain, stroke, peds Experience or 'Must have' skills ED Physicians/Mid-Levels both Charge Nurse/House Supervisor yes Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters ER techs/sitters EMR EPIC RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.)

Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? RTs managed vents, cpap and bipap. They do the ABGs. RNs do the breathing treatments and ER techs do the EKGs Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? We have monitors, no monitor techs, RNs can read strips but not required. X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Close vicinity and they come get the patient – except trauma/neuro, we transport for time metric Phlebotomy or nurse draw Both, mostly the ED RNs and ERT draw, but lab is a resource.

Shifts & Scheduling Days and nights – would accommodate schedule and it will be mutually agreeable. Weekend Requirement Every other Holiday Requirement Yes, but not more than regular staff Is there a call or standby requirement? no Floating Requirements no Scrub Color/Dress Code Hospital issued, or you can wear your own Unit/Department specific orientation 3 days of orientation Additional Notes Very team based with a positive culture.

We do not do room assignments, we work as a team and level load the patients. We have had several travelers take permanent positions because of the good culture. ED leadership is hands on and available/approachable. Additional Questions
