Overview

Responsibilities- Provide a positive shopping experience by making eye contact, smiling, greeting Customers courteously, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Follow all company best practices in work centers and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
- Engage in tasks across store areas as business needs require and perform additional tasks in specific situations to support customer service and operations goals.
- Maintain safety awareness on the sales floor, keep egress paths clear, report unsafe conditions, and support loss prevention programs as applicable.
- Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner, and greet Customers throughout the Store.
- Respond promptly to Customer service calls and escalate to Store Leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the Ross brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks and replenish restroom supplies to maintain a clean and well-organized store.
- Adhere to the dress code and present a professional appearance.
- Execute daily merchandising and stocking tasks to maintain store standards and product presentation.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and follow monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention concepts and merchandise protection standards relevant to the store.
- Safeguard confidential information and company assets.
- Follow MOS policies and cash handling procedures with accuracy.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by following store best practices.
- Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, cooperative manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
- Ability to use store equipment (PDTs, registers, etc.) as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for up to 100% of shift; ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop as needed.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly; some roles may involve lifting more than 20 pounds for stockroom shifts.
The base pay range is $16.66 - $17.16 per hour and is dependent on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Benefits vary and may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and additional programs such as employee discounts and assistance programs. Eligible associates may also participate in bonus programs based on performance.
