Member Services Representative

Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring a Judgement Free member experience.

Base Pay Range

$17.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club, assisting them with questions or concerns.
  • Promote the Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the floor and offering assistance.
  • Resolve member concerns and elevate to the Club Manager when needed.
  • Answer phones politely and assist callers with inquiries.
  • Perform membership functions: sign‑ups, contact/billing updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
  • Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club monthly and yearly targets.
  • Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing membership needs.
  • Execute retail transactions with accuracy and pursue sales goals.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Recovery Zone amenities.
  • Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free per the cleaning schedule.
  • Perform comprehensive walk of all club areas, quickly fixing safety/policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.
  • Address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken equipment or leaks.
  • Provide flexible scheduling options with full‑time or part‑time shifts.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
  • Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and moving throughout the club during shift.
  • Continual in‑person or phone communication.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
  • Movement requiring bending and twisting.
