Classic Collision is hiring an Auto Body Technician for our Federal Way location. Responsibilities- Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan
- Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
- Plan work procedures: follow the work order for all operations listed
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged areas; store parts on carts or cover to prevent damage
- Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding broken parts; ensure gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and bolts or weld replacement parts in position and reassemble after painting
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns)
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing vehicle to Paint Department
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Comply with Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred
- 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Successful completion of background check required

The role requires regular use of hands, speaking and hearing. The employee may need to stand, sit, and walk for long periods. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
