HGV Mechanic - Trailers

A growing company located in Felixstowe is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to work in the depot workshop and occasionally carry out field-based repairs.

You will be working alongside our established workshop staff and the Depot Manager/Rental staff. Ideally you will have a proven track record as a Mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment, with the ability to maintain all makes of trailers.

As HGV Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing all paperwork, clock cards and job cards accurately and efficiently within the time scale required.
• Inspecting trailers to MOT standard
• Carrying out repairs and servicing
• Liaising with the Depot Manager
• Performing pre-delivery inspections in line with company policy

We’re looking for an HGV Mechanic with:

• Experience in a similar role
• A commitment to excellent customer service and safety
• A flexible approach to working hours
• Awareness of Health and safety issues
• Your own tools
• A HGV Licence is beneficial, but not essential
