Suffolk Mind are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the creation of a new income-focused function within our organisation. This is a unique opportunity to reshape and develop a team from the ground up, influence organisational strategy at the highest level, and help secure the resources needed to maximise our impact on the communities and people we serve.

As our Deputy Head of Income Strategy and Growth you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's financial sustainability and supporting our long-term mission. Working alongside senior leaders, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive income strategy that brings together fundraising, partnerships, grants, corporate partnerships, and other income-generating opportunities.

Your responsibilities
  • Lead the redesign, development, and growth of a newly structured income generation team
  • Develop and implement an ambitious income strategy aligned with the organisation's mission and strategic priorities
  • Identify and develop sustainable income opportunities across fundraising, grants, trusts, corporate partnerships, commissioned services, and other revenue streams
  • Build strong relationships with donors, funders, partners, stakeholders, and supporters
  • Use data, market insight, and sector intelligence to influence organisational decision-making
  • Drive innovation and explore new approaches to income generation and supporter engagement
  • Foster a high-performance culture that enables colleagues to thrive and develop
  • Monitor and report on income performance, ensuring resources are used effectively to maximise social impact.
You will need
  • experience leading teams through change, transformation, or restructuring
  • a strong record of delivering income growth, fundraising success, business development, or strategic partnerships
  • excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • the ability to balance commercial thinking with organisational values and social impact
  • strong leadership capabilities with experience developing and motivating teams
  • excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • a passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to helping people and communities thrive.
