Job Details

Salary: starting at £29,820.84, rising to £36,474.96 when qualified.

Hours:

48 hours per week; 06:00‑18:00 and 18:00‑06:00 rotating shifts. 2 day / 2 nights, 4 off, every 7 blocks; 18 days off. Some flexibility with business needs is required.

• Monitor, test, and analyse service performance to ensure compliance with regulatory and business standards.
• Maintain and operate equipment and resources according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Perform routine activities within a team or independently to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures to minimise risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Support planned maintenance systems, including preventive maintenance and task completion.
• Conduct sampling and testing to optimise plant and equipment performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintain superior aesthetics and housekeeping.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and assist with planned plant shutdowns.

• Previous experience in a similar role and environment is preferable; full training will be given to the successful candidate.
• Cost awareness.
• Working safely, issuing permits to work.
• Experience working with confined space regulations and related requirements.
• Problem solving, particularly in a wastewater environment or similar process related industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Confident, flexible, and professional at all times, able to work effectively as part of the Operations team.
• The ability to make decisions based on technical knowledge taking into account environmental impact and issues.
• To be able to manage personal performance to achieve business targets.
• Ensure that H&S policies are applied correctly.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Ability to participate in an out of hours standby rota, with weekend working if required.
• SVQ 3 Wastewater management or willing to achieve.
