HGV Technician Service & Support

Overview

Rygor Auto, Heathrow Truck. Basic £36,000-£38,000 DOE. Overtime paid at time and a half. 37.5 hours (various shifts available).

Rygor Auto are looking for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to join their Mercedes-Benz dealership in Heathrow. As an HGV Technician, your role will be to keep customers’ vehicles on the road through quality, safe and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service of the highest quality.

• Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz trucks.
• Performing regular inspection and preventive maintenance services.
• Maintaining inventory in the workshop and ensuring cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
• Working with repair teams to diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
• Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired using appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
• Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and processing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
• Carrying out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
• Completing customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.

Qualification: You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. You should be able to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards and hold a current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
