We need an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering department within the Flex Air division in Fenton, MI.

• Lead design of custom power and controls systems for customers across many industries and applications.
• Create plans for power distribution networks.
• Perform engineering calculations for power consumption, transformer sizing, conductor sizing, and related tasks.
• Use engineering principles to evaluate and select products, components, and equipment to meet customer performance and safety requirements.
• Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD data, one‑line diagrams, product documentation, and bills of materials.
• Assist and support manufacturing with resolution of build issues and troubleshooting.
• Support project management with schedule coordination and customer transmittals.
• Ensure designs comply, from an engineering standpoint, with all federal, state, or local laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC).
• Review cost estimates and job‑specific requirements and report any costing discrepancies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical power and control systems.
• Excellent root‑cause analysis skills.
• Ability to interact with and provide direction to factory electricians.

• Experience in industrial and mechanical power systems.
• Experience in HVAC system design and controls.
• Experience in modular construction and equipment design.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
