Position: Hospice Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed

Residential Hospice cares for your medical needs as well as your spiritual and emotional needs. Our team is comprised of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, and spiritual care counselors that work together to care for the whole patient.

Volunteer Role

Residential Hospice is looking for volunteers with certified pet therapy dogs to visit our patients in Hospice care. Hospice pet therapy utilizes the natural bond between humans and animals to bring joy, humor, love and companionship to those on the end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities
  • Visit hospice patients with your certified pet therapy dog.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support during visits.
Qualifications
  • Must own a certified pet therapy dog registered with a recognized pet therapy organization.
  • Ability to visit patients on the hospice team.
