We provide custom steel fabrication, commercial and industrial HVAC systems, and modular refrigeration rooms. We are primary suppliers to automotive, healthcare, and institutional customers worldwide.
WhoWe Want
Miller Industries is seeking a Fitter/Welder – Tier 1 for our 1st Shift in Fenton, MI.
Hours:
6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, with weekend overtime as required.
- Read engineering drawings, cut, weld, and assemble materials for custom products.
- Fabricate, weld, and install components per engineering drawings.
- Work in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Use hand and power tools such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using straightedges, squares, calipers, and rulers.
- Take pride in the quality of work and customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders on time.

Requirements- Integrity, energy, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Critical thinking and good judgment.
- 5+ years of fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, arc) on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel; welding certifications are a plus.
- Ability to read cut lists and engineering drawings.
- Mechanical skills: saws, drills, grinders, cut‑off wheels, clamps, levels, tape measures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to a professional, clean workspace and shop housekeeping.
- Strong safety mindset and promotion of a safety culture.
- Team player who can work independently.
Must be able to lift 10–50 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate tools and controls. Work may involve extreme environments and other stressors.
