Powder Coater
Location: Fenton, MI
Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Mon - Friday 6am - 2:30pm - needs to be flexible as the job can range from 8 - 10 hrs. per day
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
We are looking for a dependable Powder Coater to join our team in Fenton. The ideal candidate will have powder coating experience and take pride in producing quality work. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a company that offers a strong benefits package upon hire.
Responsibilities- Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts
- Operate powder coating equipment and spray guns
- Apply powder coating evenly according to specifications
- Inspect finished parts for quality, coverage, and consistency
- Load and unload parts from racks and production equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of powder coating equipment
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Meet daily production and quality expectations
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Previous powder coating experience preferred
- Experience operating powder coating spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow work instructions and quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move parts as needed
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. While employed through SDMS, you'll receive SDMS benefits. Upon being hired by our client, you'll immediately transition to their full benefits package with no additional waiting period.
