All about On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliable attendance is necessary when you pick up a shift. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. The ability to work when the business demands it most is critical to success in this role.

You may be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After training, the myTime app is used to pick up shifts.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

What we are looking for:

You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times).

• Communicating effectively, using positive language and attending to guest needs
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Ability to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
• Work independently and as part of a team

We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams. Basics we expect include:

• Accurately handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to contact attempts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or be administratively terminated
• Be capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
