This job posting will be used to fill one (1) intermittent/PRN/casual vacancy at the Minnesota Veterans Home-Fergus Falls. An intermittent employee works an irregular and uncertain schedule as the needs of the agency require. Intermittent employees must be available to work all three shifts and some weekends. Day shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Evening shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm, Night shift: 10:00pm-6:30am.

Deliver licensed practical nursing care within the LPN scope of practice, as defined by the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, for residents.

Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote the well‑being, health and safety of residents in a person‑centered, long term care environment.

• Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions, and in good standing. If you are not currently licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Practical Nurse, you must be able to obtain licensure by date of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or ability to be certified by date of hire.
• Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting, specifically in Point Click Care .
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and keep clear and accurate notes and documentation.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long term care or other senior healthcare environment.
