This posting is for the 2025 - 2026 School Year. If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Custodian, please complete an application online.
After submitting your online application, visit any school in Nassau County School District to request a Recommendation Form be completed by the principal. The principal will review your online application and submit the necessary paperwork to the Human Resources Department. Upon receipt, the Human Resources Department will contact you with the next steps to becoming a Substitute Custodian. Once the initial clearances are obtained, you will complete portions of the online paperwork, the required online AHERA training for custodians, attend an in-person session to turn in required documents and receive information on Absence Management.
Dates of the sessions will be provided at the time of completing the online paperwork.
