If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Paraprofessional, please complete an application online. This posting is for the School Year.
Once you have successfully completed your online application, please visit any school in Nassau County School District and request a Recommendation Form be completed by the principal. The principal will review your online application and submit the necessary paperwork to the Human Resources Department. Upon receipt, the Human Resources Department will contact you with the next steps to becoming a Substitute Paraprofessional.
Once the initial clearances are obtained, you will be required to complete a portion of the online paperwork and attend an in-person session to turn in required documents and receive information on Absence Management. Dates of the sessions will be provided at the time of completing the online paperwork.
NOTE: If you submit your application for both Substitute Teaching and Substitute Paraprofessional at the same time, the process defined for a Substitute Teacher will prevail.
