Overview
Relationship Banker Float at First Fed – join our team to support multiple branches as needed.

Position PurposeProcess a variety of financial transactions for customers in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Establish and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers, identifying Bank products and services to meet their financial needs. The Relationship Banker I position performs the full range of transactions and account management duties. The RB Float position will have different branch work locations as assigned.
EssentialFunctions
- Perform financial transactions in accordance with current policies and procedures, ensuring minimal errors and timely filing of account documentation.
- Open consumer accounts.
- Meet assigned sales, referral, and cross-selling goals by identifying and selling Bank products and services beneficial to the customer’s needs.
- Develop and maintain a current knowledge of all products and services.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries for services.
- Participate in outbound business development activities including sales calls and networking.
- Consistently balance cash and teller transactions accurately and securely within guidelines.
- May perform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coin and distributing money.
- Ensure positive perceptions of the Bank by providing courteous greetings to customers and visitors.
- Take responsibility for safekeeping of money received and prompt accounting or transfer of funds to safeguard against loss.
- Address customer questions and refer to internal resources for resolution to achieve satisfaction.
- Support BSA and fraud regulation and compliance activities.
- Assist other branches by working in various locations as needed.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
- High school diploma or certified equivalency.
- Typically at least 1 year of cash handling experience in a retail environment, including balancing.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals.
- Proficiency in building and expanding customer relationships.
- Experience providing high-level service in a customer-facing role.
- Banking experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally in verbal and written form.
- Ability to remain calm, friendly, and positive during customer interactions.
- Active listening and questioning skills to identify customer needs and match with bank products and services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with daily customer contact while maintaining service quality.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and ten-key/calculator; working knowledge of Word and Excel preferred.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; adaptability to change.
- Confident understanding and use of technology; comfortable with conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Valid WA driver’s license.
Work includes sitting/standing, occasional walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Normal office environment with a regular work schedule.
Compensation & Benefits- The pay range for this position is $21.38 - $36.35
. - The typical hiring range is $21.38 – $24.54
. - Branch Incentive plan paid quarterly and annually based on branch and individual performance.
