Material Handler Forklift operator

Our client, Industrial is seeking a Forklift Operator / Material Handler Lead to join their team. As a Forklift Operator / Material Handler Lead, you will be part of the Production & Warehouse team supporting production lines and shipment readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work with urgency while maintaining food safety and GMP standards.

Location: Ferndale, WA

Pay Range:$23.00/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Resume required and must reflect the work experience needed for this role.

• Load and offload products from trucks using a forklift or pallet jack with efficiency and care.
• Prepare deliveries for shipment by ensuring products are correctly labeled, weighed, wrapped, and tagged according to schedule.
• Maintain accurate inventory for raw materials, finished goods, WIP goods, and supplies, and provide updates to the supervisor weekly.
• Support production by connecting the barrel dumper on a forklift and dumping product into totes, then shuttling product between production and warehouse locations.
• Maintain an organized, clean warehouse and cold storage area while following FIFO (First in, First out) for all products and supplies.

• Forklift certified with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Clean driving record and a strong safety record.
• Ability to operate a high stacker and scissor lift.
• Ability to correctly count and maintain product and supplies inventory, including attention to detail for weights and case quantities.
• Training on using a pallet wrapper and the ability to follow GMPs and Food Safety standards.

• Work in a hands-on food processing environment where safety and food safety standards matter every day.
• Take ownership of warehouse organization, FIFO flow, and shipment readiness.
• Support production lines by coordinating material movement and verification of transferred product.
• Work as part of a team that follows Plant Safety Guidelines and FDA Food Safety Standards and regulations.
• Build leadership impact through the Material Handler Lead role by helping keep operations running smoothly.
