What You’ll DoAs our Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll be a leader in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. Your responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions.
- Determining the best repair strategy and executing repairs or rebuilds on major systems such as engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
- Ensuring every truck repair is completed with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality.
- Serving as a mentor and technical resource for other technicians in the shop.
- Maximizing customer uptime by returning trucks to the road safely and correctly the first time.
- 5+ years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy‑duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
- Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge;
Cummins and MX software experience preferred. - Self‑motivation and assertiveness.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Must provide own tools.
$41.91‑46.45 /hr (Depending on experience)
