Sustainability & Packaging Compliance Coordinator

Location: Ferndown – Office Based
Salary: £27,000–£31,000 per year, depending on experience

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused
Sustainability & Packaging Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Ferndown.

This is a varied role supporting the management of packaging, recycling and sustainability information across our product range. You will help ensure that packaging data and environmental information are accurate and kept up to date, while supporting the business in meeting relevant customer and regulatory requirements across different markets.

You will work closely with our Compliance, Product, Design and Commercial teams, as well as suppliers, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating information and collaborating with different teams.

Previous experience in sustainability or packaging compliance would be beneficial, but we are also interested in candidates with strong administrative and organisational skills who are keen to develop their knowledge in this area.

• Maintain accurate packaging and sustainability information across internal systems and databases.
• Coordinate packaging sustainability and waste compliance information for different markets.
• Collect and verify packaging data from suppliers and internal teams.
• Review packaging material information, including composition and recyclability data.
• Coordinate recycling and environmental information used on packaging artwork.
• Review product samples and packaging information for accuracy and compliance.
• Track customer and regulatory packaging requirements.
• Keep up to date with relevant packaging and sustainability requirements and communicate important changes internally.
• Support improvements to packaging data, processes and record keeping.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Compliance and Commercial teams to ensure packaging requirements are considered throughout product development.

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable working with data and maintaining accurate records.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise your workload and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• An interest in sustainability, environmental compliance or responsible packaging.

Desirable, but not essential:

• Previous experience within sustainability, packaging, compliance, supply chain or a similar environment.
• Familiarity with packaging or recycling schemes such as OPRL, ARL, WEEE, Cyclos or CITEO.
• An understanding of packaging materials, recycling or recyclability requirements.
