Working in partnership with a well‑established precision engineering company based in Ferndown. Known for their high standards and clean, well‑equipped workshop, they supply components to industries where accuracy and quality are paramount.

We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands‑on role working with high‑spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.

• Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision components
• Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

• Proven experience in cylindrical grinding within a precision engineering environment
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
