Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join the late-shift team, programming, setting and operating modern CNC lathes with live tooling.
The role focuses on CNC Turning of small-to-medium batch components to fine tolerances, working with challenging materials and complex engineering drawings. Experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes is essential, with CMZ Mill Turn experience highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC lathes with live tooling
- Carry out high-precision CNC Turning operations to tight tolerances
- Machine materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel and bronze
- Produce batch sizes typically ranging from 5 to 100 components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency throughout production
- Communicate effectively with fellow CNC Machinists to support workflow and efficiency
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist
- Strong background in CNC Machining and CNC Turning
- Confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
- Fanuc control experience essential
- CMZ Mill Turn experience desirable
- CAD/CAM knowledge advantageous but not essential
- Able to work independently on a late shift
- Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 16 00
- Up to £20.00 per hour (DOE)
- 25% late shift premium
- Overtime paid at x1.5
