Join Fernie Secondary School as a Full-Time Teacher in Industrial Education and Computers, focusing on hands-on learning in Fernie, BC. This role includes teaching Woodwork and Metalwork for grades 8-12.
The full-time continuing position involves teaching Industrial Education, specifically Woodwork and Metalwork for grades 10-12 and 8-9, along with Computers. A robust background in teaching both industrial skills and technology will be essential. The contract begins September 8, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lessons in Woodwork and Metalwork
• Teach Computers to students in grades 8/9
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance
• Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum enhancements
Requirements:
• BC Teacher Certification is preferred
• Degree in relevant field or Red Seal certification
• Teaching experience in secondary education
• Expertise in both Woodwork/Metalwork and Computers
• Previous formal training in relevant technology subjects
