Become a Contract Teacher Teaching on Call for French Immersion at Isabella Dicken Elementary in Fernie, BC. This part-time role requires strong bilingual skills and teaching experience in K-6.

School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is looking for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging instruction in both English and French. This position supports both French Immersion and English instruction, scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. It offers a temporary contract from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027, with assignments based on school needs and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver French Immersion and English instruction to K-6 students

• Follow daily assignment schedules from Human Resources

• Fill in for absent French Immersion teachers

• Adapt lessons based on student needs

• Collaborate with staff to promote effective learning

Requirements:

• BC Teacher Certification required

• Bilingual in French and English

• Relevant degree or teaching experience in French Language

• Training in French Immersion or as a Second Language

• Available for scheduled in-person classes
