Position: Computers & Industrial Education Teacher Role
Join Fernie Secondary School as a full-time Industrial Education and Computers Teacher, specializing in hands-on learning. Inspire students in grades 8 to 12 through engaging Woodwork and Computer classes.

This full-time temporary role starts September 8, 2026 and runs until March 31, 2027. The successful candidate will primarily focus on teaching Woodwork and Metalwork for grades 10 to 12 and Computers for grades 8 and 9. This on-site position demands both subject expertise and the ability to create impactful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons in Woodwork and Metalwork for grades 10-12

• Teach Computers and Intro to Trades for grades 8-9

• Evaluate students' performance and provide feedback

• Implement curriculum and maintain student engagement

• Ensure compliance with educational standards and policies

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or teaching experience in specified areas

• Red Seal certification or diploma equivalent

• Secondary-level Computers teaching experience

• BC Teacher Certification preferred

• Adhere to Criminal Records Review Act
