School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) is looking for a full-time temporary Math/Science Teacher starting September 15, 2026, through June 25, 2027. Applicants should have a degree in education or relevant teaching experience in secondary math and science. The selected candidate will deliver courses in Workplace Math 10, 11, Foundations 12, Math 9, and Science 9 on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Workplace Math and Science courses
• Develop engaging curriculum and lesson plans
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Maintain a productive classroom environment
• Collaborate with staff to enhance educational quality
Requirements:
• BC Teacher Certification preferred
• Degree or formal training in Math and Science
• Teaching experience at the secondary level
• Ability to work on site at the school
• Meet all conditions of the Criminal Records Review Act
Inspire high school students in their math and science education at Fernie Secondary School.
