The Development Engineer will work within the Engineering and Public Works Department, overseeing development-related engineering activities. Essential skills include review of applications, assessment of infrastructure capacity, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role holds significant responsibility in supporting strategic urban growth through the consistent application of relevant bylaws and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review engineering requirements for municipal development
• Ensure compliance with City growth and development standards
• Coordinate engineering input on various development applications
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and technical reviews
• Lead major infrastructure planning projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer in good standing
• Experience in municipal development applications
• Strong knowledge of water and stormwater systems
• Project management and leadership skills
