Job Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.

• Premium Night Shift Sign On Bonus:
  Graduate Nurse $10,000, Experienced Nurse $13,000

Mercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders and chemical dependency. Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy and relapse prevention.

• Education:
  
  Graduation from a school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure:
  Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
