The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager plays a critical role in guiding casino leadership through data-driven financial planning and strategic decision making in a dynamic, 24/7 operating environment. This role leads the annual budget and forecasting process while building and maintaining robust financial models tied directly to key operational drivers. Working closely with department heads and executive leadership, the manager translates complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights that drive profitability and efficiency.

The position also oversees variance analysis, credit agreement compliance, and continuous improvement of financial systems, tools, and processes. As a people leader, this role develops a high-performing financial analysis team while upholding strong governance, accuracy, and confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and month-end variance analysis processes while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all financial models and data.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analyses tied to key operational drivers, translating financial and KPI insights into actionable recommendations that improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Partner with department and executive leadership to support short- and long-term strategic planning through clear, data-driven financial insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, tools, policies, and processes, while supporting credit agreement compliance and safeguarding confidential business information.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor the financial analysis team, setting performance expectations and ensuring training, compliance, and consistent execution of department standards.
Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Seven years of financial analysis experience
  • Five years of leadership experience

PREFERRED

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience working with tribal entities
  • Gaming/Hospitality experience

Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

This role requires a strong people leader with advanced financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and ROI analysis, combined with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate operates with professionalism and integrity, adapts effectively in a fast-paced casino environment, and maintains strict confidentiality while collaborating across departments. Success depends on ethical leadership, sound judgment, and consistent stewardship of company assets in alignment with organizational values.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the physical ability to sit or stand for up to 10 hours a day in an office or gaming floor environment, with frequent walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crouching, pushing, and pulling. Candidates should possess strong hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity, and the ability to concentrate in loud or busy settings. The position involves occasional lifting of items up to 25lbs.

Additional Requirements

Our facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year which may require this position to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
