ROLE:
Mobile Authorised Person
LOCATION:
East Scotland
HOURS:
40 hours per week
We're looking for an experienced Mobile Authorised Person to join our Defence Infrastructure team in East Scotland, supporting the Ministry of Defence's Future Defence Infrastructure Services contract.
Role Responsibilities:- Implement and manage JSP
375 Safe Systems of Work across your area of responsibility. - Produce and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, safety programmes and Permits to Work.
- Ensure all safety documentation is completed accurately and maintained in line with compliance requirements.
- Assess the competence of Skilled Persons, providing supervision, coaching and technical guidance where required.
- Liaise with key stakeholders including DIO representatives, Authorising Engineers, site teams and end users.
- Support the safe and compliant delivery of maintenance activities and project works across Defence sites.
- Promote a positive safety culture, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.
- Support sustainability initiatives and contribute towards MoD carbon reduction objectives.
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
- Significant experience working within Safe Systems of Work environments, including JSP
375. - A strong background in operational delivery, maintenance or engineering environments.
- Relevant technical qualifications aligned to JSP
375 requirements. - A management-level Health & Safety qualification, such as SMSTS or equivalent.
- Emergency First Aid and Fire Safety training.
- Experience across Electrical, Confined Space and Working at Height disciplines is highly desirable.
- Strong planning, organisational and resource management skills.
- Confident working independently, with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
