The Ancient Links Golf Company is looking for Golf Operations Assistant’s to join our growing teams across both Tayside and Angus. This is a varied, guest-facing role, working across golf operations, the Professional Shop, and member services to ensure every member and visitor enjoys an outstanding experience from start to finish.
This role works at the core of our golfing operations, welcoming members and visitors, supporting smooth running of the golf operations, and assisting with retail and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities Golf Operations & Course Support- Greet and assist members and visitors, providing course information and daily updates
- Manage tee times, scorecards, and daily play flow
- Carry out starter and ranger duties
- Prepare and maintain rental equipment (clubs, buggies, trolleys)
- Support general housekeeping and opening/closing procedures
- Operate the Pro Shop, processing sales, green fees, and rentals
- Maintain stock, visual merchandising, and shop organisation
- Assist the Head of Golf Operations with administrative tasks as required
- Manage tee times, guest play, and reservations
- Support membership enquiries, renewals, and competitions
- Provide guidance on golf rules, handicaps, and course etiquette
- Offer information about local travel and tourism
- Deliver high-quality service to all members and visitors
- Collaborate with colleagues to support events and promotions
- Respond professionally to feedback and ensure smooth operations
- Confident, reliable, and people-focused
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team
- Competent with Microsoft Office and EPOS systems
- A good working knowledge of golf
- Full-time and Part-time positions available, rota-based shifts including evenings and weekends
