Responsibilities- Adhere to assigned work schedules and attendance requirements.
- Comply with all company rules, policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
- Follow all safety practices and regulatory requirements related to boiler and plant operations.
- Monitor boilers, auxiliary equipment, and control systems to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in boilers, pumps, motors, valves, and associated control systems.
- Make necessary adjustments, modifications, and repairs to boilers and auxiliary units as required.
- Adjust operating controls to regulate fuel feed, water levels, steam pressure, and system performance.
- Conduct boiler, soft water, and water treatment system tests; accurately document and record results.
- Monitor chlorine levels and well systems to ensure proper operation and regulatory compliance.
- Replace soft water tanks as needed to maintain water quality and equipment efficiency.
- Observe boiler systems and surrounding plant areas to identify potential issues or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, including gas logs, repair documentation, and system performance data.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations involving boiler systems, such as leaks, equipment failures, or operational hazards.
- Report unsafe machinery, hazardous conditions, or unsafe acts immediately to supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management to support plant operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex boiler systems and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to boiler operation in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with maintenance personnel, production teams, and supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate maintenance logs and regulatory documentation.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial processing environment preferred.
