Job Description:

The Assistant Grain Elevator Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a grain elevator, including procurement, grain receiving, storage, and shipping. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grain handling and cleaning procedures, as well as experience in managing a team of employees.

• Oversee the daily operations of the grain elevator, including procurement, receiving, grading, storing, and shipping grain
• Manage a team of employees and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs safely and efficiently
• Maintain the grain elevator and its equipment in good working order
• Ensure that all grain handling and storage procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and government regulations
• Monitor grain quality and ensure that it meets customer specifications
• Develop and implement grain marketing strategies
• Work with customers to meet their grain needs
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments

• 5+ years of experience in grain handling and storage
• Experience in managing a team of employees
• Strong understanding of grain handling and storage procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle physical labor
