The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) assists in coordinating home care to meet residents’ health and safety needs, ensuring compliance with California regulations and supporting residents in maximizing independence.

• Administer medications following the five rights.
• Attend residents’ doctor appointments and communicate updates.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, meal prep, etc.).
• Assess and dress wounds and administer breathing treatments as needed.
• Audit medication during new medication cycles.
• Perform g‑tube insertions, colostomy care, intramuscular injections, and diabetes insulin injections.
• Evaluate consciousness and neurological status post‑seizure or traumatic events.
• Manage behavioral episodes and provide supportive care.
• Complete and update client notes daily; report unusual behaviors or injuries.
• Identify signs of infection and perform basic physical assessments.
• Participate in community outings (hiking, beach visits, etc.).
• Perform any other related duties as required.

• Minimum 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Successful completion of all pre‑employment requirements, including background check.
