Electrical Shop Coordinator

Bodie Mechanical Services, Inc. (BMS) is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Shop Coordinator to support our operations team. This role involves purchasing, organizing, and coordinating materials, supplies, and tools to ensure efficient workflow for our electrical projects. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, facilitate vendor relationships, and streamline shop operations while collaborating with field personnel and internal departments.

• Oversee and maintain the electrical shop inventory.
• Review material estimates, obtain vendor pricing, and coordinate with estimating.
• Process and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantities.
• Serve as the primary contact for field personnel regarding material procurement.
• Coordinate timely deliveries to job sites and arrange returns with vendors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to optimize purchasing.
• Organize inventory and tools for project pickups, ensuring timely availability.
• Receive and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Assist in improving and standardizing shop operations procedures.
• Collaborate with Kirk Corporation shop personnel for seamless coordination.
• Support the accounting team with billing processes related to material purchases.
• Answer company phones and assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
• Attend operational meetings and take on additional duties as assigned.

• Experience in inventory management, purchasing, or shop coordination (preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, field personnel, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory tracking software.
• Attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
