Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to provide full-time coverage at a well-respected facility located in Findlay, Ohio. This facility is committed to delivering high-quality radiation treatment and ensuring patient safety through advanced medical technologies and practices. Job Responsibilities:- Maintain and execute the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Program.
- Implement and manage all medical physics QA equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance and routine calibrations.
- Coordinate with alternate physicists for full clinic coverage, managing schedules and providing emergency consultations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to medical physics.
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists for safe and effective patient treatments.
- Administer and maintain physics-related software systems, managing updates and upgrades.
- Perform QA testing on linear accelerators, CT simulators, and treatment planning systems.
- Oversee dosimetry operations, ensuring quality assurance for each patient treatment plan.
- Participate in various high-dose treatment procedures as designated by the oncologist.
- Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation.
- Manage physics testing and participation in relevant protocols and accreditations.
- Master of Science degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics, radiological physics, nuclear engineering, or health physics.
- Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) certification through the state of Ohio.
- No visa candidates will be accepted.
- Ohio State License (non-compact).
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
- Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) certification through the state of Ohio.
