Lead IT Auditor

Position Summary

Lead IT Auditor position located at our Findlay, OH or San Antonio, TX office supporting the Audit Assurance and Advisory Services Organization. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity and security of our information systems through leadership-shaped audits, Agile methodology, and collaboration across IT, Refining, Mid-stream, Finance and Compliance. You will evaluate IT processes, identify risks, recommend controls, and advise management on system and infrastructure changes.

• Participate as a Staff or Lead Auditor and perform IT audits in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and enterprise methodology, identifying technology risks and evaluating controls.
• Perform risk-based integrated audit procedures on scheduled projects, develop audit plans, manage work products, and deliver results efficiently.
• Provide advisory recommendations on internal control design for new applications, systems, and infrastructure, and support implementation of new policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with IT organization, align Audit activities with IT strategy, and identify value-added partnership projects.
• Coach and guide audit staff on processes and procedures, sharing knowledge, trends, and best practices to enhance audit effectiveness and professional growth.
• Develop and deliver presentations to staff, management, and business stakeholders; lead special reviews such as system conversion, migrations, and reengineering initiatives.
• Assist in preparing formal reports and presentations of audit results for the Audit Committee and senior/executive management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certifications required or to be obtained within 2 years: CIA, CISA, CISSP, CPA, or other relevant credentials.
• 10‑15 years of information systems, audit, or business experience with a strong background in IT technologies and applications.
• Familiarity with AGILE concepts is preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong background in emerging technologies (Operational Technology, Cloud Security, Cybersecurity, AI).
• Travel 10‑15%.
