CNC Setter

Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect

Superior Trim Main Plant is looking for a CNC Technician to join our team.

• Operate and completely understand all machine controls and functions
• Maintains knowledge of tooling and fixtures used in CNC machining
• Uses extreme caution and observe all safe machining practices on 1st piece production parts to ensure clearance of tooling and machine parts.
• Obtains First Article approval through the quality process
• Set‑Up machinists will be asked to instruct and train operators on process, inspections, required gauging, and tooling needed to maintain quality products and keep production on schedule.
• Monitor cycle times and tooling and work with management to strive for continuous improvement.
• Handle all gauging, inspection equipment, and hand tools with proper care and have full understanding of their use.
• Responsible for all in process quality checks and other job related paperwork
• Responsible for machine adjustments to ensure products are manufactured to required specs.
• Periodic inspection and replacement of tooling

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience with CNC setup and programming
• Relevant certifications, training, or course work preferred, but not required
