NOW STARTING AT $19.25 ($20.25 FOR 2ND/3RD SHIFT) POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of an Area Manager & working as a member of a production team, a production team member is responsible for performing various tasks required to operate production equipment and assembly jobs.
Production team members have the authority and responsibility to start and stop production operations, use gauges and other measuring instruments in checking production parts, complete checklists to document the status of production parts or machinery, and to directly seek assistance from all available plant resources. Adheres to all safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Must wear required personal protective equipment – safety glasses, ear plugs, cut‑resistance sleeves and gloves – all provided.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations & procedures and report any safety concerns to the Area Manager.
- Practices good safety habits while in the plant.
- Team members must be able to successfully perform a minimum of 5 different production jobs, producing quality product at expected goals / targets.
- Be able to remove parts from production equipment and handle them appropriately.
- Be able to assemble parts per job instruction and handle appropriately.
- Product quality parts following work instructions.
- Keep work area clean, neat, orderly, and maintain good housekeeping techniques.
- Once qualified, assist in training new team members to perform job duties as required.
- Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
MAJOR PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTSTeam members must be able to stand on a concrete floor for the duration of the shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands. The team member must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift 10–20 pounds to a height of 48 inches. Visual precision is needed for reading documents and machine dial gauges.
WORKINGCONDITIONS
Works in a stamping & assembling plant environment. Occasionally subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment & machine parts, inhaling fumes and dust, and skin exposure to oils and other fluids.
