Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician. This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising and instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, and training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment.

• Perform on‑site troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of Nidec Minster stamping presses and coil line systems. Occasional work on non‑Minster equipment as well.
• Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customer's plants.
• Audit customer's metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found.
• Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner.
• Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts.
• Work flexible hours to support customer service needs including any portion of a 24‑hour day 7 days a week.

• Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, telephone, and laptop.
• $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid out weekly.
• Excellent medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match—all available first day of employment.
• Salary range $80 k–$90 k with opportunities for additional $10 k–$40 k in compensation.
• Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use.
• 4 weeks paid time off eligibility immediately upon hire.
• Guaranteed 45 hours/week.

• Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques.
• Capable of performing mechanical press repair or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Represent Nidec Minster Corporation effectively in business and social situations as may be required.
• Able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Extensive domestic and international travel is required—90%.
