Job SummaryProvides ongoing preventive oral care by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent gum disease
Responsibilities- Educates patient on preventative care and periodontal disease
- Records periodontal conditions, occlusal relations, the extent of prophylaxis, and treatment plans
- Evaluates gingival health and health of all oral tissue
- Performs prophylaxis, debridement, SRP, and fluoride varnish as needed per patient’s recommended treatment
- Prepares treatment rooms including decontamination, sterilization, cleaning handpieces and room, restocks supplies
- Takes necessary radiographs
- Schedules patients’ next hygiene visit
- Review the patient’s medical history and update it accordingly
- Provides excellent customer service
