Mortgage Loan Officer

Summary: The Mortgage Loan Officer position provides excellent customer service at all times. Responsibilities include developing mortgage loan business through internal and external referral sources, and building and maintaining community relationships.

Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of various mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, portfolio programs).
• Understanding of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to cross-sell financial products and services.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in PC and internet use.
