About The Position
As the Small Business Administration (SBA) Servicing Specialist I –Booking, you will work with all aspects of portfolio management as it relates to the proper payment, maintenance, onboarding and administration of the loan. Your duties revolve around system-related functions required to support the Small Business Lending department’s servicing and processing operations.
What You Will Do- Participate in the loan closing and booking process within the core platforms nCino and PCFS Loan Manager, ensuring segregation of duties as defined by SOX.
- Ensure compliance with internal process controls around the initial loan booking and the 2‑day quality control audits post‑closing.
- Assist with daily cash management and servicing activity, including transferring funds between general ledgers, funding accounts, and the wire exchange system as part of the core onboarding process.
- Interface with the Accounting department to balance, research, and report activities related to loan funding.
- Track, report, and schedule loan closing assignments.
- Assist with monthly CRA reconciliation/verification report.
- Prepare reports for internal and external partners.
- Maintain monthly guaranty fee reporting and adherence on behalf of the department.
- Perform system and individual loan maintenance in conjunction with approved servicing requests and actions, ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
- Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to Bank/departmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two years of experience in commercial/SBA lending.
- Minimum of one year of SBA‑specific loan servicing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use and navigate databases.
- Working knowledge of PCFS – Loan Manager required.
- Working knowledge of nCino preferred.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely, efficient manner with impeccable accuracy.
- Ability to master new skills and tasks quickly.
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
