Location: Fishers, IN (option to work at Fishers or Anderson locations)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends
Travel Required: Ability to work at either Fishers or Anderson locations

Overview

The X‑Ray Technologist prepares patients for x‑ray procedures, positions them correctly, operates x‑ray equipment, and ensures patient comfort and safety while protecting staff and patients from radiation exposure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, communicate the process, and take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Use and maintain a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
  • Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting all malfunctions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Process and enter radiological procedure information into the electronic health record promptly and provide additional reports and information as needed.
  • Maintain examination rooms clean and stocked, sterilize equipment as required by standard procedures.
  • Place a high priority on and maintain strict confidentiality in all situations.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain applicable professional affiliations and certifications as required.
  • Attend and participate in required organizational meetings and committees as requested.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements

• Completion of a course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

• Must maintain ARRT certification and an active Indiana State license.

Working Conditions /

Physical Requirements

Work requires standing for long periods, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, and lifting to help position patients and equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper techniques; lifts patients up to 300 pounds. Requires manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, correctable vision to 20/20, and normal hearing. Exposure to ionizing radiation, communicable diseases, toxic substances, and medicinal preparations is typical of a clinic environment.
