HR Data Analyst

Elwood Professional is hiring a remote HR Data Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on improving HR reporting through data analytics, dashboards, and process optimization, with tools like Excel and Power BI
. You will also help streamline complex reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and deliver clearer visibility to leadership.

• Maintain existing HR reporting by analyzing and formatting data in Excel using filters, advanced formulas, macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and related tools.
• Transform and optimize complex Excel-based reporting processes by finding opportunities to simplify and automate workflows using advanced Excel capabilities,
  AI
  , and other emerging technologies.
• Reduce manual work, reporting complexity, and the time required to produce and maintain reports.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations that help leaders understand metrics and trends.
• Use tools such as Power BI
  , Excel, and other available reporting/visualization tools to turn complex data into clear metrics and insights.
• Create and maintain step-by-step documentation of reporting workflows, and update it as processes are optimized or automated to keep procedures accurate and sustainable.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis
  , reporting
  , and process improvement
  , including working with complex datasets and reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency
  , including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, and data manipulation used to analyze and automate complex reporting.
• Experience building dashboards
  , metrics
  , and data visualizations using Power BI
  , Excel, or similar tools.
• Experience using AI
  , automation tools, or other emerging technologies to improve analysis, reporting, or business processes.
