Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Design and Construction team in the role of Project Manager. This position is full time, hybrid role with 4 days required on site.
RoleResponsibilities
- Leads and directs construction projects up to $10 million, with primary emphasis on projects of less than $1 million.
- Accountable for program development, budget, schedule, and management of project team for projects assigned.
- Supports the design that cares for the whole patient; mind, body and spirit.
- Provides input into the design and execution of projects that address the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and construction workers in keeping with IU Health's mission of promoting community wellness.
- Serves as a resource to entire Facilities Department providing technical knowledge and expertise in the requirements of construction management.
- Negotiates and manages contracts.
- Ensures that all construction documents and required recordkeeping is maintained appropriately.
Reports to:
Director-Design and Construction
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or other related field is required.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
- Professional Engineer is preferred.
- Requires knowledge of business, management, finance and project cost control techniques.
- Requires comprehension of applicable regulations, such as the NFPA Life Safety Code, ISDH Regulations including the AIA Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, International Building Code and Americans with Disability Act.
