The clinical nurse participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and improve operational efficiency.

The IU Saxony Hospital Cath Lab is the only 24/7 STEMI care in Fishers. It is a program providing patients with access to lifesaving treatments, cutting‑edge technology and research‑based medicine. The cardiac cath lab team cares for adult cardiac patients using teamwork, strong critical thinking and quick interventions. The RN provides hands on care for patients undergoing diagnostic heart caths and interventional cardiac caths.

In the cath lab, nurses have the opportunity to use their nursing skills and experience to make an immediate impact on our patient's lives.

This position is Full‑Time Days with a Call requirement in a 30 minute or less response time.

Schedule:

0700‑1730‑Schedule is four 10‑hour shifts with call requirement.

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence‑based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The clinical nurse participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN);
  Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
