Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRPN) unit

• Unit has 10 beds and a Level II nursery

• Includes 24/7 anesthesia, OBGYN, newborn hospitalists, and CST support

• RN serves as OR circulator as needed

• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• 13-week assignment

• RN may provide both direct patient care and circulate in the OR

• Team includes anesthesia, OBGYN, and hospitalist physicians available at all times

• Covid-19 vaccination is not required as of July 2023

• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as scheduled

• Radius rule applies for local candidates; local staff may receive a reduced pay rate

• Applicants may only apply to one Ascension position at a time system-wide

Requirements

• Active RN license and current Nursys verification required

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience

• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NRP certifications required

• Recent Fetal Monitoring education (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within last 2 years) if not covered on competency exam

• Must provide Social Security Number and a valid US home address (no international addresses accepted)

• Copy of driver’s license required

• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
