The pay for this position starts at $20.50/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $23.86/hour.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm - perfect for caregivers!

This position is located in Fitchburg, MA.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Based in Fitchburg, MA, our CARES School is a therapeutic day school that serves individuals age 6 through 21 who carry diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability. You could be a part of an exceptional team of staff who support the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social-emotional skills.

Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!

As a Teacher Aide, you will:

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
