Responsibilities Child Care and Classroom Support
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Engage children through play, structured activities, and daily routines.
  • Support positive behavior using respectful, consistent guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
Curriculum and Learning
  • Assist with planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
  • Participate actively in classroom activities.
  • Observe children's developmental progress and support their individual learning needs.
  • Encourage inclusion, creativity, and positive social interactions.
Teamwork and Communication
  • Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and program leadership.
  • Build positive relationships with families and caregivers.
  • Step into a Lead Teacher role when needed.
Program Support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and classroom records.
  • Follow safety, confidentiality, and child protection policies.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, bus monitoring, and other center needs.
  • Complete required professional development and training hours.
